Cherry wood is renowned for its beautiful, satiny smooth texture, delicate grain pattern, and moderate natural luster. Most notably, it develops a rich reddish-brown patina with exposure to time and sunlight. This patina is often imitated with stains and finishes on cheaper woods. Typically, cherry wood has a uniform and straight grain, occasionally marked by curly patterns that add a unique texture to furniture. The heartwood, initially a light pinkish-brown, darkens to a medium reddish-brown and rich red over time, contrasting with the creamy white sapwood. Even finishes like Tavern and Earthtone are warmed by cherry wood’s intrinsic natural warmth.
