Prunus Serotina Loop19
Cherry wood is renowned for its beautiful, satiny smooth texture, delicate grain pattern, and moderate natural luster. Most notably, it develops a rich reddish-brown patina with exposure to time and sunlight. This patina is often imitated with stains and finishes on cheaper woods. Typically, cherry wood has a uniform and straight grain, occasionally marked by curly patterns that add a unique texture to furniture. The heartwood, initially a light pinkish-brown, darkens to a medium reddish-brown and rich red over time, contrasting with the creamy white sapwood. Even finishes like Tavern and Earthtone are warmed by cherry wood’s intrinsic natural warmth. All real wood furniture changes color slightly with age, but cherry wood undergoes the most dramatic and beautiful transformation, developing its signature patina.
